Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
We offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in collaboration with Journey Clinical, a specialized platform that provides medical support for safe and effective psychedelic therapy.
KAP is a holistic approach that combines ketamine’s rapid-acting antidepressant effects with psychotherapy to help clients achieve deeper insights and lasting relief from conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. While Journey Clinical’s medical team handles eligibility, prescriptions, and monitoring, I focus on guiding you through the therapeutic process to help you integrate your experiences into meaningful healing and transformation.
What is Ketamine?
Ketamine is an FDA-approved anesthetic that has been widely researched for its mental health benefits. It works by blocking NMDA receptors and stimulating AMPA receptors, promoting neuroplasticity—your brain’s ability to form new, healthier connections. Many clients report enhanced mood, reduced symptoms, and an increased sense of clarity within hours of treatment.
For KAP sessions, we use a sublingual lozenge form of ketamine, which provides a gentle yet profound experience.
What to Expect from a KAP Session
Ketamine’s effects last approximately 45 minutes, during which you may feel relaxed, detached from your body, or experience shifts in perception. You’ll be in a comfortable setting, allowing you to explore new perspectives and insights. Afterward, we dedicate time to processing and integrating your experience, ensuring that the insights gained become meaningful steps toward healing.
How Does the Process Work?
- Medical Consultation – You’ll meet with a prescriber from Journey Clinical to determine eligibility and receive a personalized treatment plan.
- Preparation Sessions – We’ll discuss your goals, intentions, and what to expect from the experience.
- KAP Dosing Session – You’ll self-administer the ketamine lozenge in a safe, supportive environment—either in-person or remotely.
- Integration Sessions – We’ll process your experience together, helping you apply insights to your daily life.
- Follow-Up & Ongoing Treatment – Regular check-ins with Journey Clinical to adjust your treatment plan and ensure continued support.
